FAQ
Questions You Might Be Asking
Considering coaching is a significant decision. Here are answers to the questions I hear most often from prospective clients.
We typically begin with a discovery call to understand your current challenges and goals. From there, most engagements involve bi-weekly 60-90 minute sessions, either in person or via video call. Between sessions, I remain available for quick calls or messages when urgent situations arise. The engagement is tailored to your needs—some clients prefer intensive weekly sessions during critical periods, while others find monthly check-ins sufficient for ongoing development. We establish clear goals at the outset and regularly assess progress together.
The coaching relationship is deeply personal, and fit matters enormously. During our initial discovery call, we'll both get a sense of whether we can work well together. I look for clients who are genuinely committed to growth, open to honest feedback, and willing to do the hard work of self-examination. You should look for a coach whose style, experience, and values align with yours. I encourage you to speak with other coaches as well—the right fit will feel evident. If after our first few sessions either of us feels the match isn't working, we'll part ways professionally with no hard feelings.
I offer coaching on a retainer basis, with fees depending on the scope and intensity of the engagement. Rather than quoting a generic rate, I prefer to understand your specific situation and goals first, then propose an arrangement that makes sense for both of us. My clients are CEOs and senior executives for whom the ROI of effective coaching far exceeds the investment. I'm happy to discuss specifics during our discovery call. I don't offer discounts, but I do occasionally take on pro-bono clients for nonprofit leaders I believe in.
I deliberately keep my practice small—typically no more than 8-10 active clients at any given time. This allows me to give each client the depth of attention they deserve. I'm not building a coaching empire; I'm committed to doing transformational work with a select group of leaders. This means I'm sometimes at capacity, but I maintain a waitlist and am happy to refer you to other excellent coaches if timing doesn't align.
